That’s right!! The NUC Friends of the Library have launched our fund-raising program. Our Goal: the purchase of two Early Literacy Stations made by AWE for use by children in the branch.

EVERY DOLLAR YOU DONATE WILL BE MATCHED BY THE BRANCH FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY. THEN, THIS DOUBLED AMOUNT WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY’S EQUIPMENT MATCHING FUNDS TO BE DOUBLED YET AGAIN.

So, the $1 you donate becomes $2, and then that $2 becmes $4 to be spent on two Early Literacy Stations for kids to use in the branch.

A total of $6000 is needed to make this purchase. The donation target is $1500, which will increase to the full amount through the matching programs.

The systems are designed for children ages 2 through 10. They are self-contained and ready to use right out of the box. They include more than 45 educational software packages in seven circular areas.

Donation boxes are located in the branch near the entrance and near the children’s section. Alternately, you can mail a check to the NUC branch made out the the “Friends of the Library” (click on the “Location and Hours” for the branch address). We appreciate any support you can give to this campaign.
